On 1st September, our team hosted a free Veterans Afternoon Tea in Penrith for veterans living in Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire and South West Scotland.
Aimed at veterans who may be lonely and disconnected, the event brought together around 70 veterans from the area and it was a great success.
In the run up to the event we worked hard to ensure that everyone who wanted to attend, could. Including setting up transport from the Preston area for wheelchair bound veterans.
