Changing Aspiration Through Adventure

In Her Memory

Changing Lives

Every year, our funding helps veterans across Cumbria rediscover the camaraderie, challenge and confidence that adventure can bring, from recreational activities to opportunities to re-skill as outdoor instructors, giving current and ex-service personnel a renewed sense of purpose and connection. We see this difference first hand through our regular meetings with the service charities we support, whether that’s helping the RAF Benevolent Fund convert a property for an injured amputee veteran, or providing residential care for older veterans and widows. Take a look below at how we make a difference.

The
Not Forgotten Association

The Michelle Jurd Memorial Trust donates funds to the Not Forgotten Association which role is to provide entertainment and recreation for the benefit of the serving wounded, injured or sick and for veterans who suffer from a disability or illness.

Events and activities are open to serving and ex-service men and women of all ages, whether they served in the Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Merchant Navy; in Regular or Reserve forces, whenever and wherever they served, and whether their physical or mental injury, disability or illness is attributable to their time in service or occurred subsequently.
